Tab Trade - What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something this new, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from a single account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is there for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That would round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. TabTrade does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
Here is the part that matters. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense is your call.
Welcome Offer
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
